The Oakwood Debates is an invitational tournament offering quality Varsity Public Forum debate rounds over the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday weekend (January 14 - 16, 2017).

**If interested in participating in LD, Policy, and/or World Schools Debate, please see “Harvard Westlake Debates” on Tabroom.  Although we are two separate tournaments, we are sharing the hotel block.**

Judging Note

In order to offer the best and most competitive experience possible, we ask that schools only bring judges with significant debate experience (either in Public Forum, LD, and/or Policy). All judges are required to disclose and provide RFDs.       

Dates to Remember

 Saturday, December 10.  All invoices will be adjusted to reflect current entries and judge obligations. Those with missing judges will be notified. 

Thursday, December 15. All fees are frozen.  Deadline for requesting hired judges.  Missing judge obligations count as a hired judge fee that you are obligated to pay.

We would ask that any and all teams traveling to LA for our tournament stay at the designated tournament hotel. All “out of town” schools will be charged a $150.00 hotel fee that will be waived if your team stays in the tournament hotel block.
